T minus 17 days until Tri Day. Last night, I biked about 4 miles, took a half hour break to read bedtime stories and puff on my inhaler, then ran 2.75 miles. And I survived just fine. I'm still working up to biking 8 miles and running 3.2 consistently, but I'm getting there!
As my marathon-running co-worker says, "It's not like I run 26 miles every day to train for a marathon." So I figure if I bike 8 miles sometimes and run 3.2 miles sometimes and do a little of both other times, that'll be good.
My other co-worker and I checked the 2010 race results, and it's looking like the race will be about a 2 to a 2.5 hour ordeal in total.
Bring it on!
