Due to the screaming, kicking, and clawing while trying to eat on the right side, we made an appointment for Colin to see our beloved
chiropractor on Monday. There had to be
something that wasn't right with his little body that made him that angry. We were right! Colin had a kink in his neck, and a little misalignment in the middle of his back. Right after the appointment, he was passed out in his car seat. Dr. S has told me in the past that active people/children often times say they sleep for a long time after a good adjustment. He explains it as their bodies are just so tense/tight that once their spines are aligned again, their bodies can relax. Believe me, I've experienced that myself, because it happened to me after my first adjustment too. So now...guess what?!?! No more resistance on the right side. BUT. We're still working on actually eating. Now that Colin is fixed, it comes down to me and the gushing Mt. Vesuvius that is the right side. Poor guy can't keep up with the gushing. Somehow we will get this figured out.
30 min later: Right side success. No problems :) yes!
On the drive to the chiropractor (call us crazy, but it's an hour away. But it's so worth it to get adjusted without cracks and pops), we had to pull over and perform our first parking lot diaper change. Good times.
Jess and Nolan are coming over for our first playdate today. We can't wait to see them!
More things we know about Colin:
1. The dude hates pants...especially pants/PJs with feet. Maybe once his umbilical cord falls off (any day now!), he'll tolerate footless pants better.
2. He's going to have some fun with his little boy buddies,
Nolan and
Isaac (Leah's little guy born on Sunday) this summer and into the future!
3. His poo smells like ham. Not sure why.
